Shafaq News/ The meetings between the political blocs continue to reach an agreement leading to approving the draft federal budget law for the years (2023, 2024, 2025), amid parliamentary weightings to complete the remaining budget materials this Saturday.
And the Iraqi parliament, convening since the day before yesterday, Thursday, completed voting on 24 articles of the tripartite federal budget law, but it suspended voting on the articles related to the entitlements of the Kurdistan Region, pending agreement on them.
The halls of the Iraqi Parliament are witnessing a fierce race of negotiations to overcome the controversial points that appeared in the Federal Budget Law after the amendments of the Parliamentary Finance Committee related to the dues of the Kurdistan Region.

Al-Mamouri expressed, during his speech to Shafaq News agency, his hope that the last amendment to the article would serve the public interest, and that all parties and agencies would commit to preserving public money, and at the same time they would resort to the Federal Court in the event of any dispute.

Arab, during his speech to the agency, suggested that this article be resolved and passed today, just as the previous articles were agreed upon, noting that “Article 14 is not the only one that is in dispute, as there are articles 15 and 16 as well, and we hope to reach a compromise between the political blocs and vote on the entire budget today.” “.
For his part, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Firas Al-Maslamawi, confirmed that “Parliament will complete the vote in its scheduled session at five o’clock this afternoon, on the remaining articles of the budget.”
Al-Maslamawi refuted, during his interview with Shafaq News agency, the existence of parties opposing this approach, he said.
