The head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan parliamentary bloc, Harim Kamal Agha, confirmed, on Friday, that the Prime Minister has intensified contacts with all the political blocs gathered in order to vote on the budget in full.
Agha said in a televised statement, followed by the information agency, that “the meeting of the representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Union and the Kurdistan Democratic Union with the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi al-Amiri, was good,” noting that “the budget bill will be voted on tonight.”
Agha added, “The budget will be passed today in any form,” referring to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, who was in contact with the meeting, and there is a possibility to agree on the previous text that was mentioned in the draft law before changing it.
He pointed out that “the heads of the blocs tend to agree on other outstanding items, such as transfers.”
A meeting was held between the head of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, representing the coordination framework, and representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
