Member of Parliament Majed Shankali suggested, on Tuesday, the extension of the current legislative term to the ninth of next June in the event that the 2023 budget was not approved.
Shankali said, in an interview followed by the agency / information /, that “there will be an extension of the legislative term, which will end on The ninth of next May for a period of one month, and thus it will end on the ninth of next June.”
He explained, “If the budget is approved during that period, the month’s vacation will be taken, but if the budget is not approved, the extension will also take place until the general budget is approved.”
He was a member The Parliamentary Legal Committee, Omid Muhammad, has confirmed in a previous statement that there are no major political differences that impede the passage of the budget bill within the House of Representatives, indicating that all differences in the budget have been resolved, especially those related between the Kurdistan region and the center.
