Member of the Fatah Alliance, MP Ahmad al-Moussawi, denounced, on Tuesday, the interventions of the US ambassador in Baghdad, considering them “recklessness” and unacceptable.
Al-Musawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the American ambassador was very reckless and did not receive any reaction from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as she is responsible for the movements of all ambassadors, including the American, and did not give her the limits of her diplomatic work,” pointing out that “the ambassador roams between ministries and state institutions, and she It interferes in details and publicly announces the budget and security and social files in a way that constitutes a violation of national sovereignty.”
He added, “What is happening is unacceptable, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government must state their position on what is happening, because it is totally and completely unacceptable, and we consider it a blatant interference in internal affairs.”
The US ambassador’s recent tours have drawn criticism from the Iraqi political circles, which she considered a violation of all diplomatic norms.
