Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, said on Tuesday that his government’s program includes “serious and clear solutions” to overcome the problem of the high exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
This came during his meeting with the leader of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, according to a statement issued by the media office of the latter.
The statement stated that during the meeting, they talked about developments in the situation in Iraq and the region and developments in the political scene, as Allawi affirmed his support for the Sudanese and his government in implementing its governmental program, providing services to our dear Iraqi people, and providing them with a free and decent life.
The statement added that the meeting discussed the economic conditions in Iraq and the issue of the rise in the exchange rate and the resulting crisis that directly affected the daily life of the citizen, as the Prime Minister confirmed that the government program includes serious and clear solutions to overcome these problems.
The price of the dollar against the dinar rose in an unprecedented way recently due to the measures imposed by the United States of America to stop the smuggling of currency from Iraq.
