The deputy of the State of Law coalition, Baqir Al-Saadi, confirmed, on Monday, that the government is continuing to hold accountable all parties that caused their agreement over the crisis of the high exchange rate of the dollar, while indicating that the dismissals are continuing against all those who are negligent in the file of the depreciation of the Iraqi dinar.
Al-Saadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, “The Sudanese government continues its wave of dismissals against all those negligent in the file of the crisis of the high dollar exchange rate,” noting that “the Sudanese government is working on two axes during the current crisis. It has begun to reform the country’s internal affairs, and there are new measures that will be taken.” on the external level.
And he continued, “Follow-up continues against all negligent people in the dollar file after the dismissal of the governor of the Central Bank and the director of the Commercial Bank of Iraq,” noting that “the government made available a lot of materials at the subsidized price in order to mitigate the impact of the rise on citizens.”
Regarding the parliament’s role in the dollar crisis, Al-Saadi said, “The government put points on the letters regarding all the measures that parliament seeks to propose, and it is certain that the dollar exchange rates will decrease in the coming days to what they were in the previous period.”
Representative Alia Nassif had spoken in a statement to Al-Maalouma agency, that “the issue of the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar is no longer hidden from anyone because it is related to external and internal reasons, and that the Sudanese government is working seriously to take measures to overcome the crisis.”
