A member of the House of Representatives, Baqir Al-Saadi, revealed, on Wednesday, a parliamentary move to host the governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Finance in Parliament during the upcoming sessions, while confirming that Parliament will present many proposals to reduce the exchange rate of the dollar.
Al-Saadi said in an interview with “The Information” that “there is a parliamentary move to host the governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Finance in the upcoming sessions for the purpose of finding solutions to reduce the price of the dollar,” noting that “the hosting will also include all general managers and agents in the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank.”
And he continued, “There is a parliamentary movement in order to present several proposals to the concerned authorities in order to work to reduce the price of the dollar and preserve the Iraqi dinar.”
A member of the House of Representatives, Aqil Al-Fatlawi, had spoken in a statement to Al-Maalouma agency that “the first parliament sessions during the new legislative term will be held next Saturday, among the draft laws that will be discussed during the session.
