Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Khaled Al-Muhanna confirmed, on Sunday, that the coming days will witness major anti-corruption operations.
Al-Muhanna said in an interview seen by “The Information”, that “corruption exists in many state institutions,” noting by saying, “We have thwarted major oil smuggling operations in the provinces of Basra and Maysan.”
He added, “The security investigations are kept secret for fear of those involved escaping, as the investigation into oil smuggling networks is still ongoing.”
Al-Muhanna indicated that “the opportunity is favorable for the Sudanese government to strike the hotbeds of corruption,” revealing that “the coming days will witness major anti-corruption operations.” finished/25
