The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Rafiq Al-Salihi, confirmed, on Sunday, that the next government, which it is hoped to form during the next few days, is required to resolve two basic and important files to support the Iraqi economy, maximize imports, and not rely entirely on oil.
Al-Salihi said in a statement to the “Information” agency, “The files of the Mina Al-Faw Great Project and the Chinese agreement and its Silk Road passing through Iraqi lands are among the basic and central priorities facing the work of the next government because of their positive impact on the economic reality throughout Iraq and Basra Governorate in particular.”
He added, “China, as the largest economy in the world, will be able to deliver its goods to all countries of the world easily through the Silk Road, passing through some countries in Asia, Iran and Iraq, reaching the Gulf countries and Europe.”
Al-Salihi pointed out that “the Silk Road and the Al-Faw port project will make Iraq a gateway for foreign investments and the focus of attention of the countries of the world.”
Experts consider the great port of Al-Faw, which is located in the Ras Al-Bishah area in the province of Basra, a qualitative leap in its geopolitical importance to link Iraq with the world by restoring the importance of the linking site between East and West. finished / 25 BC
