, the Integrity Committee in the House of Representatives confirmed, on Saturday, that the Department of Refunds of Funds will be hosted in the Integrity Commission, revealing certain procedures for bringing in the stolen money from abroad.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee Khaled Al-Jashami said, according to the official agency, that “the Integrity Committee has made amendments to the Iraqi Fund for Recovery of Funds according to what has been put forward by the Council of Ministers,” indicating that “there is a commission or board of directors for this fund consisting of the Integrity Commission, the Intelligence Department, the Financial Supervision Department and departments Many foreign ministries and others are in charge of recovering Iraqi funds. ”
He added, “Next week, there will be hosting of the head of the recovery department in the Integrity Commission, to find out their procedures.”
Al-Jushami pointed out the need to “issue judicial orders against the corrupt person, and to move his money according to the judicial decision, especially after the year 2003 and even before it for corrupt persons in foreign countries,” noting that “there are funds smuggled by terrorist organizations, and we are working to follow them in order to Reach a result. ”
Regarding the exact numbers of smuggled funds, Al-Jashaimi said that “there is no specific number for these funds, as they are scattered in countries even before the year 2003, but the recovery fund has information about frozen funds in some countries in the form of contracts concluded by the Iraqi state before the year 2003 with companies, whether private companies or Governmental companies. ” Ended 29 /
