The deputy of the Iraqi Forces Alliance, Ahmed Mazhar Al-Jubouri, called on Thursday 26-12-2019 for the retired Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to remain in his post, while he warned against the country going into the unknown.
Ahmed al-Jubouri said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that “the country is going through a real crisis that could drag everyone into the unknown, in light of the lack of agreement on a specific figure for the post of prime minister, the multiplicity of candidates and divergence of opinions.”
Al-Jubouri added, “Parliament has resolved all laws that lead to early elections,” noting that “to avoid major crises due to sharp differences over the identity of the next prime minister, there is no harm in the survival of Abdul-Mahdi as a solution imposed by the current conditions to overcome the crisis and move to the elections stage.” It is the early days, which will determine the future of the country according to the conviction of the people of all shades and components. ”
The deputy of the Iraqi Forces Alliance stressed: “It is not possible to risk dragging the country into other crises that may lead to unimaginable consequences.” He called on the political forces to “pay attention to the seriousness of the situation and its serious repercussions, and the importance of greater attention being focused on holding early elections that include Transparency and integrity give the people the choice to say their final word. ”

Shankali said in a tweet via his Twitter account, “The reality is that it is difficult to choose a candidate for prime minister that is acceptable to all parties,” suggesting that “keeping Adel Abdul Mahdi with a complete change of his government may be a special solution and that everyone agrees to hold early elections.”
He added, “The ballot boxes will determine who will form the government, unless it appears that it is not the interior of it.”
