Health reports latest earthquake victims in Iraq
(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The Ministry of Health, on Monday, the statistics of the number of dead and wounded in all of Iraq as a result of the earthquake in the country on Sunday evening.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Bader said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News}, a copy of it, “was recorded 7 deaths and 535 wounded, including seven deaths in Kurdistan and one death in the Jalawla General Hospital in Diyala.”
He pointed out “the registration of 321 people in Kurdistan, 170 in Diyala and 44 in Kirkuk, ranging from high blood pressure due to panic and fear of the earthquake.”
Bader pointed to “the readiness of the ministry and all its staff and prepare for any possibility and according to a plan prepared in advance for any emergency.”
Al-Bader stressed that “the Ministry of Health has mobilized all its institutions and follow up the situation by communicating with the health departments in Baghdad and the provinces and under the supervision and follow-up directly by the Minister of Health and the Environment in order to ensure the safety and security of citizens.”
