The Oil and Energy Committee of the parliamentary on Thursday ruled out the adoption of the oil and gas law in the current parliamentary session, attributing the reason to the existence of political differences.
A member of the committee, Mazen al-Mazni said in an interview with “Watan News” that “the oil and gas law of the controversial laws, which have passed to the current parliamentary session,” ruling out “the vote on the law during the current parliamentary session because of differences on it.”
He added that “the adoption of this law will regulate the oil matters in the country and will end the oil problems between the region and the center.
A member of the Committee of Oil and Energy parliamentary Jamal Koger, confirmed earlier, the intention of his parliamentary committee to adopt the formulation of a new model of the draft law on oil and gas, in the hope of presenting the debate during the sessions of the new legislative chapter, after the Council of Ministers withdrew all copies of drafts of the law “in one go.”
