Oil Minister Jabbar Luaibi said on Sunday that Iraq plans to increase crude production capacity to five million barrels per day before the end of 2017.
Allaibi said during the Iraq Energy Forum held in Baghdad , said that “Iraq will continue to parallel exploration plans in order to increase its reserves equivalent to 15 billion barrels in 2018 to reach 178 billion barrels.”
He added that the increase in the production capacity of existing fields plans include a plan to inject sea water. ”
He Allaibi to,” The Oil Ministry has prepared especially for the production of four types of oil plans , “stressing that” we were able to add 10 billion barrels of oil to Iraq ‘s oil reserves, and by the year next we will add 15 billion barrels of oil to it. ”
he pointed out that” arrived in Iraq for the first time to export thousand tons per day of liquid gas, adding : “We hope to export 7,000 tons per day of liquid gas.”
