The Minister of Agriculture in Kurdistan, Abdul Sattar Majid, and some Kurds in the House of Representatives, in a press statement, that ” it was agreed to form a committee to find out the revenue that will get them the size of the Kurdistan region.”
He added, ” the Kurdistan Regional Government has decided, that it will follow the road that serves the interests of the region, and it will apply the federal budget law if Baghdad paid one dollar more than the direct sales of oil revenues.”
The Kurdistan Regional Government, on Wednesday held a meeting with the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi parliament to discuss the federal budget for the 2017 law, it has been postponed after the meeting , which was to be held last week at the request of four blocks.
The Kurdistan Regional Government has earlier announced its rejection of the budget law, noting that it “does not guarantee the rights of Kurdistan and it is a serious political plan against the Kurdistan region.”
The House of Representatives has approved on the seventh of December of this financial budget for the 2017 Act, and included a “specialty percentage of allocations of federal land forces of the Iraqi army to the Peshmerga forces as part of the Iraqi security system to ensure the salaries of the Peshmerga schedules prepared in coordination with the General Command of troops armed Ministry of Peshmerga. ”
