voice of the Karbala Provincial Council, on Tuesday, a resolution calling for the closure of the Saudi embassy in Baghdad and the expulsion of its ambassador from Iraq Thamer Sabhan.
The head of the Council Nassif Jassem Khattabi said in a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, that ” the Council voted on a resolution unanimously calling on the federal government and the Foreign Ministry to take firm and effective action on suspicious moves by the Saudi ambassador in Iraq.”
He added ” the council in Karbala demanded the closure of the Saudi embassy and the expulsion of the Saudi ambassador, to his contribution in supporting terrorism in Iraq and the negative actions of the completed contexts and diplomatic norms , ” he said.
