What you and I have been watching, the imperial data, looking for their intent…From the Ministry of Planning to the Ministry of Finance to the CBI who manages it and makes sure stuff gets done…the language coming out of Iraq is absolutely amazing. I’m very very happy and psyched about this.

3-16-2016 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat Today is nearly mid March already. The clock is ticking as the GOI has until the end of March to fully seat this new “technocratic” government. The names of candidates for all but three ministries have been submitted to parliament already. These three ministers remaining refuse to resign. Abadi has reached out to Nori al-Maliki to try to get help in convincing them this is the appropriate thing to do but Maliki did not support the reforms. So once again we see the Dowa party holding back progress. Tic Toc, Tic Toc…

Can they do the “dirty exit” thing, or do you think they can’t risk that until they get more laws in place…?] Floating the dinar or moving off the peg can happen at any time. That is a function of monetary policy managed by the CBI. Moving to IMF Article VIII is a different issue, and requires compliance and acceptance by the IMF. This move is seen to be the most important since it would encourage a more open banking system with the world. Seems unlikely that they are anywhere close to that happening though with the spread (official rate/market rate) now over 6%.

3-16-2016 RUMOR Guru Mnt Goat On Friday an article came out telling us the government plans to raise the value of the dollar to 200,000 dinars for each $ 100 US Dollars to cover salaries. This is the third time I know of that they have done this so far. Each time they do it, it is temporary and is for a greater amount but it always settles back to around 1140-1166 rate soon afterwards. This is a very good sign. They have to pay the employee salaries somehow and do it now. This process will continue each month that oil prices remain low or until we get the RV. The value of the dinar may even drop yet more until something is done to correct the situation.

I CAN ONLY SEE THE TENSION WILL BUILD.

3-15-2016 Newshound Guru Kaperoni …I can only comment on what Dr. Bakri stated in my interview, where he felt that the CBI would delete (at least some) zeros prior to Article VIII. That implied to me that they will try and raise the value dinar before they get into Article VIII. Some have stated it may be more on par with the dollar before that happens. Hard to tell. This theory does make sense because many feel the dinar is undervalued. And if so, it makes sense then to raise it via floating it before Article VIII (and possibly Forex) to get the dinar to a price with reduced speculation.

3-15-2016 Intel Guru Delta On the Arabic side of the CBI website…they took off the 50 Dinar Note and the coins. New law posted shows prison term for anyone caught counterfeiting IQD. We feel it’s very significant that Jabouri told the governor of the CBI that it’s time to start the monetary reform. The only way to do that is to raise the rate (increase the value). One other confirmation we got…if IRAQ wasn’t safe…there is NO WAY that Jabouri would have told the governor of the CBI to start the monetary reform. We really do believe that something is going to happen!

3-15-2016 Intel Guru Frank26 Do you think that IRAN is going to WAIT for IRAQ? Will a basket of currencies come out together…or alone? We don’t know. Based on our studies…each of these countries is trying to win. IRAN and VIETNAM were in a long-line. I’m beginning to think that they may have jumped out of line and they are all out to win. It doesn’t really matter. If one goes off…they all trigger to go off right after each other (chain-reaction). We believe that one of these currencies is going to go off very soon.

This reform package is a make or break Iraq… Maliki is posturing to bloc these reforms in Parliament…Exposing Abadi as WEAK and FAILED… Abadi did not receive the approval of Parliament Feb 20th for the replacement of Ministers, yet he has been working on it with political blocs who are to submit the names of their technocrats this Wednesday… Abadi’s spokesman said: The Prime Minister has sped up the process on reforms in replacing ministers ahead of the time that was planned… This is because of the maneuvering by Maliki the obstructionist… Right now…THIS WHOLE THING HINGES ON A VOTE IN PARLIAMENT ON ABADI REFORMS IN REPLACING MINISTERS WITH TECHNOCRATS… THIS IS WHAT SADR IS FIGHTING FOR AND ORGANIZING DEMONSTRATIONS FOR… IF ABADI FAILS TO GET THE VOTE…IT WILL NOT BE GOOD!
