BAGHDAD / obelisk: new president of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, his position on the reforms that must be real and not a comprehensive prosthesis, while the United Nations called for increased support for displaced people and alleviate their suffering.
Maliki’s office said in a statement, that “the president of a coalition of law Nuri al-Maliki received today, in his official office the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubis,” noting that “During the meeting they discussed the latest political and security situation and political reforms planned in addition to the role of the UN United to help the displaced. ”
He renewed during the statement, the position “of reforms that must be genuine and based on solid foundations and be inclusive not prosthesis and in line with the aspiration of society and desires,” expressing his eagerness to “support any effort that would preserve the unity of the social fabric, and promotes unity and synergy to face challenges and crises. ”
Maliki has called for the United Nations to “increase their support for the displaced, and ease their suffering, and to invite the international community to contribute to the provision of humanitarian services to them.”
For his part, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubis said, “the UN’s keenness to support Iraq in all fields and issues that would contribute to strengthening the political and security stability in the country.”
The president of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki stressed, in the February 15, 2016, on the need to be “inclusive and not prosthesis” government reforms, while calling to give the prime minister the opportunity “to choose” his ministers according to the guidelines of competence and integrity “without the intervention of any one.”
