Government source confirmed, on Wednesday, the prime minister Haider al-Abadi told to stop working oil agreement signed nape between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, attributing this to a lack of commitment to the region the terms of the agreement.

“The source added that” the decision came against the backdrop of the commitment of the provincial government in implementing the terms of the agreement and export oil through Turkey without the knowledge of the federal government.
“The Baghdad and Erbil have signed the so-called oil agreement which obligates the Kurdistan region to export oil through the company “Sumo” of the center at a time when Baghdad is committed to the granting of the region’s share of the financial benefits.
