1-21-2015 Newshound Guru Adam Montana I’m not going to beat around the bush… things are getting intense! Budget being prepared based on 3.3 million b/d and $60 per barrel. I don’t like the $60 per barrel price, BUT: Iraq exported 4 million b/d in December and they are looking to increase their production… seeing as how Iraq has one of the largest reserves in the world, the HCL is sure to be completed very soon, the Kurds and Baghdad are playing nice (finally!!!), I believe the increased volume will easily make up for the lower price of oil and Iraq will have no problems with the budget as it is. It’s also important to remember that Iraq has barely scratched the surface of their reserves. As we watch them progress, with more and more companies investing into their production, it will continue to rise and a lot of experts even believe that Iraq will overtake Saudi Arabia as the world’s leading oil exporter… all that says to me is “COME ON, RV!”

1-21-2015 Newshound Guru Adam Montana I won’t pretend to know when they will actually make it official, but my gut feeling is that this week is a strong possibility, with a quick move after that to turn the HCA into the HCL, and then revalue the official rate on the dinar. When this happens, it’s going to happen so fast our heads will spin! The only thing I’m actually worried about right now is if the CBI will peg it or float it. If they choose a float, my advisors are telling me the best play might be to take the first rate we get, because that could easily be the best rate we’ll see for a long time. In other words, if it comes out at $1, it could quickly dip to a dime or less and then take years to rebound. I have no doubt that it would eventually come back… Even if they don’t float it, they can still adjust the rate down again with no warning, explanation, or apology.

All of those included in that meeting, the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Oil & Planning and the Governor of the CBI, all of these people have something to do with the future of the currency of Iraq…the exchange rate. I will say that it is not impossible that the Gov. of the CBI had some standing in that meeting because they think they can possibly get some money out of him. However, I find it very curious that he was there. This is huge news. The best news is…I don’t think it will matter much longer. I think something is headed our way.

They want to get into the world markets and they can’t get there without the CBI. The CBI are the one’s that will change the status of the IQD.

I think as soon as Shabbs is caught up. look at the reserves situation…Iraq has strongest situation in this regard 1.5x coverage that is monetary policy strength there…not for current policy but the one to come yep, 1.5x or 150%. that answers the “can iraq add value” question, done. so, security has been an issue in the past too, terrorist funding, so what did the cbi do. they replaced the current notes, done. next, stability has been a requirement too, the dinar has proven to be stable for years. Yes it has fluctuated but how close iraq has been to the 2% mark is great to see.

1-20-2015 Newshound Guru Shredd …banking and investment laws are being worked on we’ve been seeing it in the news for the past few months…the budget passing will be good and the laws that should come be passed soon will be even better, Shabbs is back too. we have a new government that has a leader who has proven to be so much more aggressive and productive than Maliki and he (Abadi) is pushing for economic growth…so, I know I joked saying “soon” but I meant it. [in your opinion…we should be done with this ride in 2015!] I expect the gradual process to bring value back to the dinar to start this year… I believe we’ll all have a choice as to when we want to exchange our dinar for the dollar, sooner for less or later for more. [do you think it will start from 1166 and go up from there?] I think it is likely.
