Revealed the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council and a member of his delegation negotiating Fadi al-Shammari, for an important meeting of the leaders of the coalition Wednesday evening to agree on the choice of the next prime minister, while noting that the State of Law coalition has more than one candidate for the job, including Vice President of the House of Representatives Haider al-Abadi, as well as adviser National Security Faleh al-Fayad.
Al-Shammari said, “According to our information, the head of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari has returned from his travels, and today there will be an important meeting of the Alliance for the selection of the nominee to head the government and the resolution of this file,” explaining that “the meeting will be held this evening.”
He said Al-Shammari said that “at the National Coalition three names its candidate for the presidency of the federal government and they are the leader of the Supreme Council, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, the head of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, and the National Congress leader Ahmed Chalabi,” adding, “As for the candidates of the coalition of state law understand Haider Abadi and Faleh al-Fayad, Tarek Najm” .
He pointed to al-Shammari “There are deputies within the State of Law coalition reject that there will be a third term for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.”
