BAGHDAD / obelisk: political source revealed early on Sunday, that the National Alliance will meet in the coming hours to nominate its candidate for prime minister, noting that the coalition decided to be selected according to the principle of consensus between all its components.
The source said in an interview for “obelisk”, “The leaders of the National Alliance would meet in the next few hours to nominate their candidate for the post of Prime Minister,” noting that “the names currently on the table, for the National Coalition, there are two characters are Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Ahmed Chalabi, As for the coalition of state law, they have a single candidate, which current Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. ”
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that “the agreement during a meeting yesterday at the home of the President of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari led to enter the coalition candidate and a single before the first session of parliament scheduled for next Tuesday, and that the selection of the candidate according to the principle of compatibility between the components of the alliance all.”
It is likely to hold the new Iraqi Council of Representatives, the first meeting, the day after the first Tuesday of next July, under the chairmanship of the largest members enacted MP Mehdi al-Hafez said in a statement to the Independent High Commission for Elections.
