Iran: We will not send troops to Iraq

CNN) – said Iranian Interior Minister on Saturday that his country would not send troops to Iraq, and that its borders safe, thanks to the awareness of its armed forces and the Revolutionary Guards.
The news agency quoted the Iranian Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, that “the Islamic Republic of Iran will provide the necessary consultations to restore sustainable security in neighboring countries, especially Iraq, will not be very sparing in it.”
The Iranian president Hassan Rohani also said Saturday that his country was ready to extend a helping hand to Iraq, and denied that Iran has sent troops to Iraq.
Fazli explained that “However, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not send any military forces to help in establishing security in neighboring countries, including Iraq.”
He told reporters on the sidelines of the meeting of the Board of Directors of North Khorasan province, in the city of Bjnord, “The Iraqi people have got the determination and national advisory opinion on the basis of religious references, and scientists against extremist groups, it is certainly going to destroy this extremist group.”
He assured the Iranians that “border security prevails fully aware of and thanks to the efforts of the military forces, and the forces of the Revolutionary Guards, and other forces, and that there is no any problem in this area.” He added that “extremist groups who have caused insecurity in some areas of Iraq will not be able to enter the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
