The leader of the State of Law MP Abbas al-Bayati said in an interview for “obelisk”, “The National Alliance is the largest parliamentary bloc, according to the Iraqi constitution, it will nominate the next prime minister,” adding that “the rule of law announced its candidate, which Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.”

He added that “the coalition will be finished within this week to put the finishing touches on its rules of procedure,” pointing out that “next week will see the internal alliances began to be produced only Alliance candidate for submission to the other political blocs.”

He explained that “resolving the selection of the candidate is not without its two mechanisms, namely either vote, or understanding, we believe that al-Maliki has the support of the majority of the components of the National Alliance to form the next government.”

The National Alliance has decided, earlier, eight to form a committee to prepare a draft rules of procedure for the alliance, in order to develop his work, and turn it into an effective political organization in the next phase.
