Iraqi government should not interfere in CBI’s performance, says international bank

Central Bank of IraqBaha al-Araji, Iraqi MP from al-Ahrar bloc mentioned that the International Bank has warned the Iraqi government from interfering in the activities or performances of the Central bank of Iraq.
In a press statement, he said, “We warned from the collapse of the economic and financial fields in Iraq due to the interference in the performance of the CBI.”
He also concluded, “The International Bank held a meeting in Amman in presence of the representatives of Iraq and warned the Iraqi government from the interferences in the performance of the CBI otherwise, Iraq will be listed within the black list and this reminds us of the sanctions imposed on the former regime.”
