“UNAMI” welcomes the approval of the House of Representatives of the National Elections Act

Follow-up – and babysit – welcomed the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Nikolai Mladenov, the approval of the House of Representatives to the National Elections Act, underlined support the mission ‘UNAMI’ to the Electoral Commission.
A statement by the Mission ‘UNAMI’ received news agency public opinion (and babysit) a copy of it on Tuesday: “The Mladenov congratulates the House of Representatives to pass the law of national elections yesterday, and that the United Nations salutes the tireless efforts of the Presidency of the Council and leaders of political blocs to reach agreement on election law which was issued by the Council of Representatives. ”
Mladenov added: “Political leaders have worked hard in the spirit of consensus that represents the key to the future of Iraq, urging all parties to: ensure a stable and secure environment for the elections to take place at the scheduled time.”
He continued: “The mission will continue to support the Independent High Commission for Elections in the present and the future to ensure the holding of national elections in accordance with Iraqi law and international standards on April 30, 2014.” O, o
