U.S. Embassy: Maliki and Biden agreed to work together to find the perpetrators of the recent bombings

U.S. embassy said on Tuesday that U.S. Vice President Joe Biden discussed with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s recent security developments in Iraq and the cooperation within the strategic framework agreement to find those responsible for the recent attacks.
The capital of Baghdad and several provinces have seen a series of bombings by car bombs and improvised explosive devices led to the killing and wounding of many citizens.
According to a statement issued by the U.S. embassy has received all of Iraq [where] a copy of it today, “Biden and Maliki stressed during a telephone conversation the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and Washington.
He pointed out that “al-Maliki and Biden emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the Strategic Framework Agreement to support Iraq’s efforts to find those responsible for the recent attacks and bring them to justice.”
Biden stressed that “al-Qaeda is still a common enemy of Iraq and the United States, and the world at large, pointing to recent improvements in the political climate, encouraging Maliki to continue to communicate with national and local leaders across the political sphere.
With regard to the situation in Syria, the two sides discussed according to the statement of the importance of working together to isolate the extremists of all parties to the conflict there.
