American Embassy in Baghdad funded organizations contrary to the customs and traditions

Committee intends to civil society organizations parliamentary inquiry into firing the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, a new initiative private civil society in the amount of $ 75 million to fund 175 organization.

Committee Chairman Ali Mohsen al-Tamimi: “The grants and money are always in accordance with the agenda like the United States in Iraq,” and expressed regret to accept some organizations grants of those institutions and organizations for the establishment of workshops and seminars are not compatible with the nature of Iraqi society and its customs and traditions.

Between al-Tamimi said “the Commission will open an investigation mechanism for the distribution of these grants and the amounts, and whether that these organizations are registered or not, and what are the workshops and seminars held by, and are consistent with the Constitution or not.”

The U.S. embassy in Baghdad has launched a new initiative private civil society in the amount of $ 75 million to fund 175 organization.
