11-10-2012 Newshound Guru Mountainman Just a reminder to everyone, Saleh said last month that in November they would begin to replace “damaged currency” with new lower denoms, even though that’s just 1% of the Iraqi currency used. In actuality, it’s far less of a percentage because the USD is used for transactions in the market place. So, here we are in November. Keep an eye on the CBI and a release of new 250 and 1000 dinars. You would think the higher notes that get used more would have a great need to be replaced for damage. Makes me wonder if this is a cover for a rate change and LD [lower denom] release in Nov, which is only 2 months longer than the original plan. Iraq absolutely will revalue their currency and they will also be removed from Chp7. Don’t give up on 2012 yet. This could still very well be our year!!

11-10-2012 Newshound Guru Mike Article: “Claims the exit of Iraq from Chapter VII” I think to date this is the strongest article we have seen that tells us that there is a direction the US wants to go and they are willing to get them out of Chapter 7 – Chapter 7 is directly tied to the formation of their government – so basically what this article says is form your government and you are out of Chapter 7 – We are also going to enforce the Strategic Framework Agreement we have for your government and move things along – remember there is a plan.

11-9-2012 Intel Guru TerryK Now for other things: 1. The State Bank of Vietnam website has been down all morning. This has never happened before. 2. The VND technical pages have been down off and on all week. When they go down it stays down for hours. 3. Trading has been frozen at least three days this week on both FX And Netdania. Right now Netdania is showing 0 change for past 12 hours. Same for IDR. 4. Wednesday night .76 showed up on Todd’s [?] screen for one hour. 5. Others have seen rates pop up this week…So, maybe we might see them go first ahead of the Dinar by a few days. Just pondering. HEARING THE DONG MAY GO AS SOON AS THIS WEEKEND.

11-9-2012 Intel Guru TerryK While everyone keeps eyes fixed on Iraq we have been following things in Vietnam. I think we can use Vietnam as a real RV gage. One main reason is we don’t see misleading and untruthful information coming out unlike what we see from Iraq. So here goes what we see at this time: 1. We know they are to re-value as part of five basket currencies. 2. Sent articles describing all of their natural resources and why they can support $1.00 and up to $2.00 in a revaluation. 3. They have settled with France on a rate for repayment. 4. The IMF & WTO have spent weeks in Saigon with The State Bank of Vietnam preparing them for full membership in 2013. 5. It has been circulating the IMF has given them green light to go ahead with RV. 6. They have been getting their economy and banking systems lined up and ready. 7. They’ve been doing big business with Russia, Israel, China and France. 8. Their government is very stable.

11-9-2012 Newshound Guru Administrator Bob Economics seems to be this week’s theme. It seems everyone got into the act this week from the IMF to the Central Bank of Iraq. Maliki cancelled the ration program effect March 1st, 2013 and public outcry ensued.

11-9-2012 Newshound Guru Mike Lots going on – Parliament is trying to take control over what they have control over, they are trying to do things constitutionally…they are taking full advantage of this and passing laws and passing the Commissions…and Maliki is just having a fit about it. Today one of the things that happened which was very interesting was… they passed the regulation to allow Iraq to have international banking…so folks, important things are getting passed – don’t think that things are not getting passed during this time when Shabibi is not there – They had 217 show up to Parliament today in the House and they are feverishly passing things at this point in time that are affecting how this government is going to operate in the future.

That should mean they are going to vote on some things and move forward. SHABIBI SAYS HE CAN CLEAR HIS NAME IF THEY EVER CAN GET THE JUDICIARY TOGETHER FOR HIM TO TESTIFY AND PROVE HIS INNOCENCE ??

11-9-2012 Newshound Guru LoriC The latest word is the National Meeting will be held at the beginning of next week. However, Allawi and the List say they will be a no-show again because they are tired of hearing promises and dialogue that is just for show. Maliki must implement the power sharing government that was agreed upon years ago. For this to be a successful National Meeting the Erbil agreement must be put into action. IMHO, they would not be holding another National Meeting unless there was already an agreement. Talabani has been working on the reform paper since his return and this meeting next week just could be the start of the end of the political crisis. We’ll just have to wait and see.

11-9-2012 Newshound Guru Mike Article: “The Washington Post: Blair says that the Iraqi economy is prosperous and calls for British companies to invest” I like this article because it tells you about the value that is there – he talks about getting British companies to invest in Iraq. Great article…telling us how the economic situation is great except for the political situation – things are going well over there…the direction it is going if you ask me it is very positive – we are seeing VERY VERY POSITIVE THINGS across the scale here as far as how much growth is going to happen in the future – the oil, etc…be patient – don’t think it is going to happen tomorrow – if it does BE HAPPY – there is always that possibility because there is a lot in place – I really feel they need to get their government in place and that there is a lot going on behind the scenes to help that happen.

Article quote: “With its oil output expected to continue to rise, Iraq has become the World Bank’s target for financial contribution. Deputy head of Iraq’s Central Bank said last week that the World Bank asked Iraq to become a donor state by 2014. But with the myriad challenges facing a country ravaged by years of war, Iraq is likely still far from being able to help others. Iraq will be capable to be a donor country when its oil output rises.”

11-9-2012 Intel Guru Hammerman Very little intel, it is calm & quiet. In 19 days I have had only 3 Middle East phone calls. I hope this is a good thing. I still believe we don’t have a chance until the 15th – 17th on up until Thanksgiving. I am hearing that if we don’t see the RV by Thanksgiving, we will not see it until mid February, is this true I don’t know.

NOW THAT THE ELECTION IS ENDED…WE SUDDENLY SEE THE CHARGES AND SPECIFICATIONS AGAINST SHABIBI DROPPED AND MOVEMENT OF SEVERAL MARKERS TOWARD COMPLETION.
