Diyala completes land sorting within the million free plots initiative

Diyala Deputy Governor Hassan al-Jubouri revealed on Tuesday that all phases of land allocation within the initiative to distribute one million free plots have been completed, noting that the province’s share will exceed 44,000 plots.
Speaking to Al-Maalomah, al-Jubouri explained that “the central committee formed to identify the locations of the land plots to be distributed free of charge under the government’s initiative to allocate one million plots across all Iraqi provinces, including Diyala, has completed its administrative and technical procedures. The districts have been identified, and the allocation process has begun.”
He indicated that “all essential procedures have been completed,” pointing out that “Diyala’s share of this project will exceed 44,000 plots.”
Al-Jubouri clarified that “in Baquba alone, 700 dunams of land have been allocated, and therefore, the distribution process will proceed to all administrative units without exception.”
He affirmed that “this step will address a significant portion of the housing crisis,” noting that “among the measures to be adopted is ensuring the availability of basic services to prepare these lands for distribution and the commencement of construction by those included in the program.”
