An informed source revealed on Monday that the funding for employee salaries for the current month of September has not been released despite its near end, noting that no ministry has received funding for its employees’ salaries so far.
The source told Shafaq News Agency that the delay in salary payments witnessed in previous months is recurring this month due to the failure to complete funding procedures, attributing this to a lack of financial liquidity and a decline in revenues, while employees await the release of their financial entitlements.
The source confirmed that the accounting department at the Ministry of Finance had not released funding for the salaries of state employees as of the time of writing this news.
Employees complained last August about the delay in receiving their salaries, which were released at the end of the month, while employees of some ministries received their salaries for last month at the beginning of this month.
A source told Shafaq News Agency at the end of last August that the reasons for the delay were due to a lack of financial liquidity and a decline in revenues, indicating that the concerned authorities are working to provide the necessary financial allocations to secure and disburse employee salaries.
