The Secretary-General of the Islamic Dawa Party (Internal Organization), former MP Khaled Al-Asadi, confirmed on Sunday that the file of completing the ministerial cabinet is facing complex obstacles and disagreements amidst ongoing dialogues, noting that resolving the controversy over the appointment of the deputies of the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic will contribute to easing the crisis.
Al-Asadi said in a special statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The file of completing Al-Zidi’s government is going through a complex and critical stage, especially with the lack of a final decision on acceptance or rejection regarding the appointment of deputies to the Prime Minister and deputies to the President of the Republic.”
He added that “there are other major obstacles that stand in the way of resolving the issue, related to the names and personalities nominated for the remaining positions, as well as the ongoing disputes regarding the electoral entitlements of the political forces,” noting that “agreeing on the issue of deputies and determining the position on them by acceptance or rejection will certainly facilitate the process of consensus to complete the cabinet.”
Al-Asadi explained that “political discussions and dialogues are still ongoing and have not stopped, whether within the coordination framework meetings or in joint meetings with other political forces at the national level, to reach a solution that satisfies everyone.”
