Information/Baghdad…
MP Ibtisam Hashim, from the State of Law Coalition, indicated on Thursday that the issue of completing the cabinet would likely be resolved after September 30th.
Hashim told the Information Agency that “negotiations and discussions between the political blocs are ongoing to reach final understandings regarding the vacant ministries,” noting that “current indications suggest postponing the vote on the remaining ministerial candidates until after the end of this month.”
She added that “completing the government formation requires finalizing agreements and ensuring parliamentary consensus to pass the candidates through parliament without any obstacles, thus guaranteeing the stability of executive work in those ministries.”
Earlier in the day, Kazem al-Shammari, head of the Services parliamentary bloc, predicted that a final agreement leading to the completion of the cabinet and the resolution of the vacant portfolios would be reached within a timeframe not exceeding 10 days, explaining that ”
political dialogues between the forces and parliamentary blocs have made significant progress in bridging viewpoints and ending the current deadlock.”
