The US dollar continued its rise in the Iranian free market, recording its highest level ever on Saturday, after its price exceeded the 192,800 toman mark, amid the continued rise in foreign currency prices with the escalation of security tensions in the region.
The dollar had previously reached a record high of 190,000 tomans on May 4, before surpassing that level in today’s trading, at a time when the region is witnessing a return to military strikes between Washington and Tehran.
In conjunction with the rise of the dollar, other foreign currencies continued their gains, with the price of the British pound reaching 257,650 tomans, while the price of the euro exceeded the 219,000 toman mark.
