Here is where Iraq is missing the boat compared to Vietnam…Vietnam’s tourism industry generated approximately $30 billion in 2025 and…expects tourism revenue to reach about $45 billion in 2026 with 25 million foreign visitors…If only Iraq could understand and act on the fact that Iraq can attract 5x that number…A tourist industry of that scale would transform the country’s economy and automatically straighten the currency, increasing its value.

He turned down $200m to look the other way, put the bribe on live television, arrested the man who carried it, and built a council that refers the file straight to a judge. Who clears the ground like that, unless you are setting a precedence for the future.

The rate change has nothing to do with the government. It has to do with the banking division, being the central bank. The rate change itself will never end up in the Gazette.

6-4-2026 Intel/Newshound Guru MarkZ [via PDK] Comment: …banking leaders from all over are headed to the U.S. and being told to raise their rates… MarkZ: Probably 20+ are already here in the US and already working on that. Iraq is already here with some key folks. Almost the whole global south that are friendly with the US are being pressured to raise their exchange rates in order to balance the playing field for trade. I have mentioned this before that the US is trying to pressure Vietnam to raise their exchange rate as it is way to artificially low.
