“Wall Street Journal” newspaper, the American said on Saturday that 4729 people have given up US citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card) during the year 2015.
The newspaper reported that this data contained in a document issued by the US Treasury Department earlier.
The newspaper quoted international law expert Andrew Michiela, saying that “there are increasing numbers of American citizens believe that owning a US passport or permanent residence permit is not worth the misery and the need to carry the American tax laws.”
