Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, that the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and the United States this year reached 21.3 billion dollars, while exports of Iraqi oil to the United States of $ 19.3 billion.

The statement quoted Zebari said during a lecture, that the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and the United States this year reached 21.3 billion dollars, while exports of Iraqi oil to the United States of $ 19.3 billion.
The statement said that a large number of American businessmen, ambassadors, diplomats and military and Omthlee major U.S. companies operating in Iraq in the fields of energy, transport and communications, infrastructure, IT and service sectors attended the lecture.
Zebari added that “reviewed the volume of bilateral trade and investment opportunities available and the circumstances prevailing political and security fields and sectors available for corporate work in Iraq,” stressing that “Iraq’s desire to make way for U.S. companies to work in the country.”
