In my opinion, we had a couple of super slow and stagnant weeks…actually now that I think about it, it’s been a good 6 or 7 weeks since anything significant was looming. Now that we’re seeing significant dates roll around (budgetary-governmental-etc), the US is done making big decisions (presidential)…well, buzz is building again and I really expect to see some bigger news in the near future.

This article implies Iraq is beginning to see inflation creep back in. Which is bad news for us. If they don’t get this moving soon, it could be a real problem.

THEY ONLY NEED 163 TO REMOVE THE PM. IT IS ALMOST A SLAM DUNK NOW THAT HE IS GONNA GO. THIS PROCESS DOES NOT TAKE LONG, IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF DAYS.

1-23-2013 Intel Guru Footforward The RV can happen at any time. The intel is there, everything is there for an RV to happen. There is no fact about an RV happening during the beginning of a quarter. There is no truth to that. Talabani was in Germany to get treatment for his back. He is now back in Iraq and will be going back and forth for treatment. Maliki will be there until the RV happens and then he will be gone. Iraq is already in possession of enough natural resources to justify having the highest currency in the world. They could have a currency valued at $14 if they chose, based on information from several year ago. If they knew the RV was going to be long term they would have renewed the Standby Agreement like they have several other times and they haven’t. It really can go at any time.

[do you look at the rv as iraq only or a world event about to occurr?] it is not iraq decision, but their performance is crucial. [are you seeing any comments from China on this issue or status of VND?] what i heard is that they are ready and the rate is within my range .27 to .57…everything is fantastic, imo.
1-22-2013 Intel Guru Bluwolf You know it is funny, one would think that those that have tried to delay this blessing would of given up by now, but they did not, not until today…the fact is that the foot came down on them…Now there is information these last couple of days about steady place holders on some financial sites, being steady says a lot watch them carefully for if they maintain a steady pace a actual rate may pop up at any moment. I for one am looking forward to seeing the end if this journey finally.

[why would they hold off on the announcement?] That would be a good question to ask them, however, that makes perfect sense to roll out a huge news release that will incorporate many things not just one thing. This is very well timed and thought out. I truly believe they are doing this properly and this is the only way to manage such huge news…they best have their act together and all laws necessary when they do.

Even the SOL has given up because the numbers don’t lie. There are now 190 MP’s ready to vote no-confidence. Finally justice comes to Iraq. Most of the leaders of the SOL will have charges of corruption filled against them. Most will leave before this happens marginalizing their party. Maliki will never answer to parliament he will resign before then. Don’t look for a vote of no confidence. It won’t happen.

Let’s pray that Turki was installed to implement that plan on schedule and there are no more delays. I think this may finally be “our time” and Iraq’s.

1-22-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru Flashing The issues delaying the budget have nothing to do with the rv. They are related to the Allocation of money to the different provinces and to the different concepts included on the budget. However ch 7 obligations are essentials in order to have this rv. Please remember that the devaluation of the dinar was one of the sanctions imposed under ch 7. In order to lift sanctions imposed under ch 7 Kuwait (who is the injured party) as well as the UN must approve them. As i always have said there is a direct relationship between ch 7 and rv. The delay was mainly due to the fact that some of the major issues were outstanding. So imo again we are in excellent position to see this rv anytime now during this month.
1-22-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru Flashing Everything is excellent and today is an historic day since finally the Kuwait Parliament approved the Kuwait Airways agreement among other things. As you know this agreement was not valid until The Kuwait Parliament approved it. Today they did. This was one of the major obligations of Iraq under ch 7. The RV was not possible without a valid agreement on that issue as well as the other relevant outstanding issues. The rv is not dependable on the budget. So the budget is not the driver of the rv. Remember that you can have an rv and later approve the budget.
