Shafaq News/ The Sadrist movement led by Muqtada al-Sadr accused, on Wednesday, the political blocs that lost in the recent parliamentary elections of “making crises”, stressing that he is moving to the “majority government.”
Member of the current Issam Hussein told Shafaq News Agency, “The losing political blocs are the ones who create crises so that there is a political settlement that contributes to their entry into the government or going to a consensual government,” surprising the insistence of these blocs on forming the consensual government, which led to this corruption. “.
“Why this insistence on quotas and choosing a weak prime minister?” he asked.
Hussein stressed, “The Sadrist movement is heading to a majority government only,” explaining, “If they are ready to accept this government, we have no objection, and if they are not ready, let them go to the opposition.”
He continued, “If you find that they have votes to form a consensus government, let them go to form a consensual government.”
Regarding the independent candidates, Hussein saw that “there is a basis for their proposals that go in favor of the Sadrist movement and they go towards the majority.”
On the issue of choosing the prime minister exclusively from the Sadrist movement, Hussein stressed that “this option is on the table, but the sure choice is a majority government, so that we do not look at installing the prime minister, but rather look at the political majority, on the basis of a political structure.”
He pointed out that “the head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the coordination framework wish to go to the past according to political consensus, which failed miserably.”
