The victory bloc confirmed, on Tuesday, that the process of manipulating price bills on all products and smuggling currency abroad was a major reason for the rise in the dollar exchange rate.
Member of the bloc, Taha Al-Dafia, said in a statement to / the information / that “the rise in the price of the dollar directly affected the prices of commercial products in an obscene way, such as iron and building materials, which delayed the reconstruction process in Iraq .”
He added, “With the rise in the price of oil, the price of the dollar should decrease or return to its normal price, but some influential parties prevented this.”
He pointed out that “the rise of the dollar and the lack of control over it affected the owners of limited income and the poor, and also affected the reconstruction and construction process.”
The markets are witnessing an outrageous rise in commercial products, building materials and iron due to the high exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
