URGENT Minister of Electricity comments on Abbadis decisionBaghdad: Minister of Electricity Qassem al-Fahdawi, Sunday, the decision of Prime Minister Haider Abadi judge to withdraw his hand until the completion of investigations.
He said Fahdawi in a statement to his office received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, “welcomes the decision of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to withdraw the hand.”
He called on the Minister of Fahdawi, senior cadres in the ministry to cooperate with any investigative committee in order to communicate the facts.
The outgoing Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, ordered on Sunday morning, pulling the hand of the Minister of Electricity on the back of the deterioration of electricity services in Iraq and until the completion of investigations.
It is noted that the “withdrawal of the hand” is to prevent the employee from continuing to perform his job temporarily while maintaining his functional relationship, and that it is a temporary precautionary measure used by the administration when the employee is subject to disciplinary or penal proceedings.
The move comes three weeks after a wave of angry popular protests in the southern and central provinces against poor services, mainly chronic electricity shortages and unemployment.
