A high-ranking Kurdish delegation arrives in Baghdad
The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Giyath al-Surji on the arrival of a high-level Kurdish delegation to the capital Baghdad on Saturday in order to reach a compromise between the governments of the center and the region on the referendum secession of Kurdistan, which is scheduled to be held on Monday and resolve the outstanding issues between the parties .
Al-Surji said in a press statement that “the separation from Iraq in the event of a referendum will not be directly, but will be the announcement of the Kurdish state after talks with the Iraqi government and neighboring countries.”
He expressed “his hope for the arrival of the Kurdish delegation and Iraqi officials to resolve all the outstanding problems between the parties.”
