The White House reveals the contents of an agreement between Al-Kazemi and BidenThe White House said, Wednesday (February 24, 2021), that US President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi discussed, during a phone call, the recent missile attacks on Iraqi and coalition forces, and “agreed that those responsible should be held accountable .”

According to the statement issued by the White House, the two sides discussed “the importance of advancing the strategic dialogue between the two countries and expanding bilateral cooperation on other major issues .”

Biden agreed, according to the statement, to “maintain close contact with the Iraqi Prime Minister during the coming days and weeks .”

Al-Kazemi said in a tweet on Twitter, in the early hours of today, Wednesday, “I discussed in a telephone conversation with US President Joseph Biden the development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of partnership in the interest of the two countries and work to support security and peace in the region and the continuation of cooperation in the fight against ISIS .”

Al-Kazemi stressed, “Work to continue the strategic dialogue between our two countries on the basis of Iraqi national sovereignty.”
