The US ambassador confirms to Halbousi Washington’s commitment to three points related to Iraq

The US ambassador to Baghdad, Matthew Tueller, affirmed on Sunday his country’s commitment to three points related to Iraq.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, stated that the latter “received today, the American ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toller.”
The statement added, “The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, strengthening cooperation in the security and economic fields, discussing the issue of the displaced, and affirming continued support to ensure safe return to their regions, as well as a number of issues of common interest.”
During the meeting, the American ambassador expressed “the commitment of the United States of America to strengthen the partnership and deepen the relationship with the Iraqi people,” stressing “the continuation of cooperation for a secure and stable Iraq.”
