Saleh said in a televised interview that “Iraq bought last year about 6,000 housing units in Turkey through forged invoices and without any oversight from the Central Bank of Iraq.”

He added, “The dialogue between the Central Bank and the US Federal Reserve had positive results, and Iraq has taken transparent measures to prevent dollar smuggling.”

And the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Financial Affairs continued, “Iraq has cash reserves worth $115 billion, and the Iraqi dinar is strong, as evidenced by the Central Bank’s sales,” noting that “the white paper adopted by Al-Kazemi was weak and did not achieve the required achievement.”
