(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The three presidencies and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council held a meeting today, Monday, in the presence of the head and members of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jenin Plasschaert, to discuss the upcoming elections.
According to the presidential statement, Al Furat News received a copy of it, “The meeting dealt with the important joints in the electoral process in order to provide a safe and stable environment for conducting the elections and to check on the integrity of the procedures applied by the commission and the relevant competent authorities to implement the electoral process and address the challenges that all face.” .
