Secret Kurdish Meetings To Present A Consensus Candidate For The Presidency

An informed political source revealed, on Monday, the existence of secret meetings between the two Kurdish parties that took place during the past two days.
The source said in an interview with the “Information Agency” that “secret meetings took place between the two Kurdish parties aimed at coming up with a consensual candidate for the presidency.”
He added that “the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, agreed that another person would take over the presidency, on the condition that Barham Salih withdraw his candidacy for the presidency.”
The House of Representatives decided to open the door for candidacy for the presidency for a period of 3 days, and to submit CVs to the presidency
