The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed, on Saturday, not to be complacent in holding accountable the corrupt and those obstructing the building of a fully sovereign state.
Saleh said in a speech during the 12th Conference on Combating Violence Against Women, which was followed by Ayna News, that “reforms require the provision of an appropriate political climate through a serious will to hold early elections that are free and fair, away from the power of weapons.”
Saleh called for the necessity to “approve the draft law of the Yazidi female survivors sent by the Presidency of the Republic,” stressing at the same time the need “not to be complacent in holding the corrupt and obstructive accountable to build a fully sovereign state.”
