Today, Saturday, the representative of the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc, Ali Turki Al-Jamali, confirmed that the caretaker prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, seeks to gain support through international meetings to ensure his renewal for a second term.
Al-Jamali said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “This quest will not benefit Al-Kazemi in renewing him for a second term, because the political blocs directly announced their rejection of renewing him as prime minister.”
He added, “After the many violations that occurred during Al-Kazemi’s tenure as prime minister, the coordination framework intends to form a service government in which it will be applied that works to implement the law and the constitution, and Al-Kazemi will not be in it.”
Although Al-Kazemi is silent in revealing his desire for a second term, the general political scene rejects him altogether.
The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ghazanfar al-Batekh, said in a previous interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the current Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, has a focus on external issues more than internal ones that need special intervention from him to solve many of the economic, social and political problems that Iraq is facing now.” y
