Report: Al-Sudani will clash with the corrupt leaders sooner or later

Information / Baghdad.
A report published by Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, on Thursday, shed light on the reasons for announcing the formation of the Supreme Committee to Combat Corruption, parallel to the Federal Integrity Commission, indicating that the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a, is determined to open corruption files and will clash with the senior corrupt.
The report, which I viewed, quoted a source close to the Integrity Commission as saying, “The establishment of the Supreme Commission implies that the parent body failed to accomplish the tasks entrusted to it related to fighting corruption, and therefore the previous government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi resorted to establishing a committee parallel to the Integrity Commission, Before the judiciary issues an order to dissolve it because it is unconstitutional.”
The source added, “It seems that the new prime minister is aware of the failure of the Integrity Commission, and wants to activate its role in various ways, including the formation of the new commission.
And he continued, “I learned that the Sudanese Prime Minister, in his first meeting with officials in the Integrity Commission, told them in one letter: (Your commission needs a commission to combat corruption), which indicates that he does not rely on it much, and therefore a new president close to him was brought in.
” He expressed his belief that “corruption has become a system in Iraq, and it cannot be fought seriously except through a political agreement that the parties and forces of power abide by, and without that, the Sudanese will sooner or later clash with the senior corrupt influential political figures, and everything that the Sudanese does and talks about has nothing to do with it.” Little effect before we actually witness real accountability for the corrupt leaders.”
